The Climate Pledge Friendly Program helps consumers choose more sustainable products when making purchasing decisions.

The program uses a label to highlight products that meet sustainability standards and help protect the environment. To certify products, Amazon has partnered with trusted third-party certification schemes such as OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

The use of the label has a high potential to improve sales, which is also an incentive for retailer partners.

Datas from April 2023:

  • 800 million products sold, an increase of 121% compared to 2021.
  • 550,000 certified products available, an increase of 72% compared to 2021.
  • 22 improvements to enhance the customer experience highlighting more sustainable products.
  • A 10% increase in traffic from Climate Pledge Friendly searches through detail pages and recommendation widgets.
  • Top Amazon partners experienced a 15% increase in traffic.

How can you get the Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly label for your STANDARD 100 certified and MADE IN GREEN labeled products?

  • Fill out the Climate Pledge Friendly template (.csv file).
  • Submit your Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) to Amazon Vendor Central or Amazon Seller Central.
  • Once the certified ASIN is validated, Amazon will recognize it in the Climate Pledge Friendly program (~10 business days).
